We carbonize the bamboo so it dries
Every click-on head has a hollow cavity where it attaches. It stays wet, and it grows mold and bacteria deep inside where you cannot reach.

It means the motor and its shielding were designed around the fact that you hold it against your head. It also means we published the readings rather than just the phrase. Both brushes went on the same ERICKHILL RT-100 meter, at the same distance, in the same mode, at the highest intensity, averaged across 100+ readings. The leading sonic brush read 265 V/m. PRIMALS read 14 V/m. Roughly 19x less electric field and 5x less magnetic. Individual readings vary with meter, distance, mode and intensity, which is why we held all four constant.
It's the reason a lot of people find this page. Low-frequency fields induce a small current in metal inside the mouth, and researchers noted these currents could produce pain and discomfort. Less field at the head means less to induce. If you have brackets, a permanent retainer, crowns, implants or amalgam, talk to your dentist about your own situation, but a lower-field brush is the straightforward precaution.
